Tulip Mania in History

With springtime upon us here in the Northern Hemisphere, flowers of all types are beginning to bloom. In the Pacific Northwest, there’s a special affinity for the tulip. With one of the largest tulip festivals happening this month in Skagit County.

The tulip has an interesting story. It caused an economic bubble in Holland as prices for tulips soared to absurd heights and then crashed harshly.
